They've nerfed crippling shot for sure, 15 energy cost! Guess it's time to take expertise more seriously...

nice, better balancing of skills there. Doubtless ppl are going to start getting hot under the collar about gale, crippling shot etc, but finally perhaps people will think of new builds, rather than copying others, and complaining when they get nerfed. sigh.
I am glad fevered dreams has been improved, i think it has great potential. It did have a hug, which meant it only affected adjacent targets, but thankfully it has been ironed out. So to has epidemic, reducing its cost to a mere 10, rather than outrageous 15 it was before.
why have they not fixed lightning touch? grr...

All in all a pretty fine balancing. Monks and mesmers bent over for it but everything still works and plenty of ways to work around.
I'm impressed, I've been dreading waking up and seeing this string appearing for the last couple of weeks.

That thing is godly for a condition spread elite now... You can virtually use no illusion magic, and still use this very effectively.
I had been using fevered dream before the patch without any illusion magic (timing the condition skills) with its 4 sec duration. Now 10 sec duration and 10 sec recharge...
Why are they advertising fevered dream so much?

Dual orders is still usable. OoV first then OoP. Just made it more cordinated. Increased the life but did not decrease the dmg or range. I think I can live with it.
|
Are you sure about this? I tested before going to work today, and it seems to do exactly what the update said it would... and I was doing OoV then OoP

Griffon Farming nerfed. Hydra and Troll spokesmen quoted saying: 'oh f**k.'
And the new exhaustion mechanics was enough of a nerf for gale, imo. Is there any logical reason to use it at all now?

I say its about time on lowering the cost of Mantra of Recovery. It could use longer duration or shorter cooldown though. It is now *maybe* a little better than serpents quickness.
All in all it is a great update IMO.
Although...has anyone tried to solo the scarabs with a 55 hp toon? It seems that they have more than just well of the profane that drops your enchants (but I haven't figured out what?!?!). I went out just to see if it was possible if a person was veerrry careful and I died right after they start attacking me. Hmmm, oh well, it works great to 2-person the scarabs.

Yes, there are humans on the other side. Not necessarily one human per avatar, and not necessarily doing routine actions (e.g. unloading to vendor or mule) manually, though.

Things I've just realised.
They still haven't addressed the knights/ascalon armour issue. It's still better to use just once peice of the armour.
The Hex helm is nerfed beyond use. 33% would of been better I think, but meh.

As far as PvE is concerned, mesmers were just buffed into the stratosphere. I approve

Thumbs up for the way they nerfed Griffin farming with style. Long before word got out that the scarab queen dropped a nice green prot staff, people were forming groups in Augury to go kill her merely out of spite. It was awesome. I have to say though, that the Griffons and Minotaurs in Prophet's aren't too happy about the scarab move-in. While it's a fruitless fight (ie. they die quickly at the hands of the little buggers), they still go after those scarabs with every ounce of heart in their bodies.
I love how great the drops from the scarabs are now (lots of golds and dyes), but I won't love them all dropping mandibles or whatever by this time next week.

All the wonderful balances and all you can do is whine about farming. Either suck it up or play another game. I get so sick of people biching about their farming spots being nerfed. Boo-f**king-hoo!

Hehe + Conjure Flame got buffed! Good, good!
Gonna try some burnout combos with those pesky lil scarabs (my personal arch-nemesis )
I'm glad for Augury farming nerf, I am! No more griffon farming, it was waaaay too easy! They put a new boss with minions (probably drops, didnt't try) and people actually cry! Jeez like fake money's actually worth something... And if it gives runners a headache....well, buy a motorcycle!

So let me get this straight. If i cast OoV and then OoP it will work just fine. But I would have to wait until OoP is over to recast OoV? For both of these to be effective?

A couple of notes:
1. They didn't mention in the notes that Vampiric weapon damage displays properly. I've heard Sundering damage also displays, but reports have yet to come in of any increased damage from that. (Note: that last line is sarcasm.)
2. Unless I'm really, really blind, upping the Adrenaline cost on Eviscerate didn't do anything.
3. I hate you Vilaptca, you stole my Staves.
